The resources below are essential to our organization. They offer you valuable guidance and support, and help us manage the ZDR3 Network with efficiency. Please download and carefully review the documents with regard to your organization’s potential needs.
Please note: To participate in the ZDR3 Network, your facility’s leadership must sign an agreement. ZDR3 has three different agreements to allow a facility the flexibility to participate in a manner that fits their specific needs.
If you would like to fully participate in the ZDR3 Network by potentially offering on-scene disaster response assistance to another organization and the ability to receive support, you must sign a ZDR3 Network Facility Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU).
ZDR3 Network MOU For Organizations Housing Animals - The ZDR3 Network MOU for Organizations Housing Animals establishes terms for a collaborative effort among facilities that house non-domesticated animals to provide disaster assistance before, during or after incidents that may put non-domesticated animals in crisis. Note: ZDR3 must have a signed ZDR3 Network MOU already in place before we can render assistance to your facility.
ZDR3 Network MOU For Organizations Not Housing Animals - The ZDR3 Network MOU For Organizations Not Housing Animalsis for organizations that specialize in providing resources and services to zoological facilities.
ZDR3 Supporting Facility Agreement - ZDR3 Supporting Facility Agreementoutlines the opportunity for facilities or organizations that are unable to sign the ZDR3 MOU to still participate in the ZDR3 Network as a Supporting Facility. Supporting Facilities may contribute to the network through donations or loans of supplies and resources, temporary housing for relocated animals, or funding during crises. Individual activities will require appropriate documentation and will be addressed as needed. Supporting Facilities can still reach out to the ZDR3 network for help, however, the level of response support that they are able to receive may be limited due to the restrictions that have prevented their participation in a formalized mutual aid agreement.
ZDR3 Code of Conduct - The ZDR3 Code of Conduct is for individuals assigned by an organization pursuant to an agreement with ZDR3, volunteering for, activated by, representing, or in any way involved or providing services during a response coordinated by ZDR3. This document outlines the expectations for individual behavior and sets forth guidelines to help ensure safety, confidentiality, and professionalism during response activities, as well as guidelines for conduct during media activities and off-duty activities. Violations of the code may result in immediate removal from response activities and deactivation as a responder.
Temporary Animal Placement Agreement - The Temporary Animal Placement Agreement is an agreement between an animal owner/possessor and a temporary holder for the short-term placement of the owner's animal(s). The agreement specifies the obligations of both parties, including the temporary holder's responsibility to provide necessary care and housing for the animals, and the owner's obligation to provide historical data on the animals and assign a designee for correspondence. Note: if you need to cross state lines to relocate animals, be sure to work with appropriate authorities and within federal and state regulations.
