Rapid Response:
ZDR3 Type 1 team. Team can reach locations in a predetermined radius 36-48 hours after initial call for support. Crew Lead can represent ZDR3, function as On-Scene Liaison, and complete initial entry priorities including determining access restrictions, assessing risks, and assessing needs for additional or specialty resources.
Recovery:
Deployment in weeks or months after an incident (not an immediate response). May be more appropriate for less experienced teams. Crew Lead must be able to function without a ZDR3 On-Scene Liaison. Specialty skills may be requested based on incident requirements (e.g., fence replacement, enclosure rebuild, debris removal, post-flood cleaning, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or animal husbandry/veterinary support).
All Response Teams:
Teams must be able to function without outside support for at least 72 hours, with provisions for water, food, fuel, materials, generator, human waste disposal, and communications. Facility must own or have reliable access to a mobile housing unit.
